Installing/Renewing DynaMed Mobile on an Android Device


DynaMed is available as a native application for devices running the Android operating system (version 2.1 or higher). Before you begin, you should have the following information:

To request a DynaMed serial number:

To register with Skyscape:

  1. Search the Google Play Store for Skyscape or click here.

  2. Download the Skyscape Medical Resources reader and complete the installation process.

  3. Sign in with your Skyscape credentials or create a new account

  4. Download any of the free resources.

To install the free DynaMed Android App:

  1. Open the Skyscape app.

  2. Touch Settings.

  3. Touch Add Resources.

  4. Enter your DynaMed serial number.

  5. Touch Download & Install Resources.

  6. DynaMed downloads to your device's SD memory card. When the download is finished, DynaMed is listed as a resource on the Home tab.

To access DynaMed from your Android device:

  1. Launch the Skyscape App.

  2. Select DynaMed from the list of resources.

To install DynaMed updates:

  1. Click the Settings button in the navigation bar.

  2. Touch Updates to view and download the available updates.

  3. On the Updates screen, place a check in the box for the DynaMed update and click the Download & Install button at the bottom of the screen.

  4. The Downloading screen displays the progress of your download. To cancel the download at any time, click the Cancel button.

To renew your DynaMed Mobile access when a serial number expires:

Your access to DynaMed Mobile expires one year after registration.

  1. Contact dynamedsupport@ebscohost.com to obtain a new serial number and then complete the following renewal process.

  2. Open the Skyscape app on your mobile device.

  3. Touch Tools.
  4. Touch Add Resources.

  5. Enter your DynaMed serial number and then touch Download & Install Resources.

  6. When the product download is complete, you will be returned to the main Skyscape page.

To transfer DynaMed access to a new Android device:

DynaMed can be installed on up to 5 Android devices. If you wish to install DynaMed to a sixth device you will need to request an additional serial number.
