Author, Title, Series Name and Subject List for NoveList
This feature allows users to look up, view, or browse through the list of all authors, titles, series, or subject headings used in NoveList in two ways; alphabetically or relevancy ranked. You select whether to view the lists alphabetically or relevancy ranked and you select which type of list you want to view (authors, titles, series names, or subject headings). Note: When you select the above link, you will find examples and tips for using these lists. Please review these tips. Alphabetic Lists: This search allows you to enter an initial letter, part of a word, or a complete word and NoveList will jump to that point in the alphabetical list. Because the lists are so long (remember that there are over 100,000 titles and 36,000 subject headings in NoveList), you need to type in enough of the word to narrow the section of the list you are jumping to. Relevancy Ranked Lists: This search allows you to enter one or more complete words and NoveList will retrieve a sorted list with the best matches to your entry at the top of the list. This feature is especially powerful for those of you who like to fine-tune your use of subject headings when using Describe a Plot or Boolean Searches. See examples below. These lists can be accessed in two different locations: Browse Lists Tab: At the Browse Lists tab, just under Explore Fiction, there is a link that takes you to a page where you can access all of the lists. Search Pages: At each of the search pages (Author Search, Title Search, Series Search, Describe a Plot Search) just below the SEARCH button, you can access the specific list for the type of search at the line that says, "To browse a list of all authors (or titles, etc), click here" and this will allow you to access the specific list for the search page you are at.
