Many readers find NoveList playfully addictive. As you search through the product trying different types of searches and word combinations, sometimes you wish you could return to a previous search or its results. NoveList's Search History feature allows you to do just that. You can also modify a previous search based on new information or interests. And now, you can save individual searches from your search history by clicking the "Save Search" link for the search you want to save. You will need a personal login, but NoveList will prompt you to create one if you have not already done so.

The Search History in NoveList will keep track of the searches you make in the current session of NoveList. Please note that when you leave or close NoveList, the current search history is gone although you can save a search if you want to access it again at a later date.

NoveList automatically adds a search to your search history as long as it found one or more hits as a result of the search. (So, if you entered a search where no titles were found, it would NOT be added to the search history.) The following information is provided for each search in your search history:

• Search # - Each search is numbered sequentially as it is added to the history.
• Search - This link is the Boolean phrase of the search that you performed and if you select the link, you can run the search again.
• Results - This column indicates the number of results the last time the search was run.
• Revise Search - Selecting this link will allow you to revise the search.
• Delete Search - Selecting this link will allow you to delete the search from this history.
• Save/Alert - Selecting this link will allow you to save this search and/or create an alert for the search. When you select the link, you will then enter futher information about creating an alert or just saving the search. For more information on that feature, click save searches and create alerts.
