Using the Article and List Search to Find Articles, Lists and Other NoveList Content
When do I use this
search?
In addition to NoveList's rich database, NoveList has an abundance of content for readers, librarians, media specialists and teachers. What began as small projects to enhance our readers' experiences has developed into a large reservoir of material that is now sometimes hard to navigate due to its volume. NoveList offers a way to search all of its articles and lists including: Author Read-alikes, Book Discussion Guides, BookTalks, Feature Articles, School Curricular Materials, Readers' Advisory materials, Explore (genre) lists and Awards lists.
Scenario
A teacher is working up a unit for her class on bullying and wants to see what NoveList has on the topic.
Here's How in NoveList:
-
Click on the "Search our Database" tab.
-
Select a search strategy - "Article and List Search" in this case - by clicking on its link (circled in the picture above).
-
At the Article/List Search page, enter a descriptive word, author or book title in the first find box. For this scenario, bullying is entered in the find box. [Show me an example]
